Sterling Bronson's monster may live in many of us, and Williams and Anderson confront him on his turf. By exposing Bronson and his victims, they have exposed the reader. What if Ms. Bennet had visited the cellars of Pemberly, would we change our opinion of Darcy? You will be challenged and moved by Beautiful Monster.
This book works because it could be true. Makes you think about the people you meet. That seem a bit odd.
I loved this tale of terror and suspense. I can say that my expectations were not only met, but exceeded. This is a wonderful gift to all lovers of horror. Interesting thrilling page turner. Intense, graphic and hard to put down. A great book you don't want to stop reading until it's done. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who dares to get inside the mind of a serial killer.
This book is the best book I have ever read! I have already read it twice. It is a very fast-paced thriller/horror & I couldn't put it down. It also makes you realize how troubled & crazed some people really are. You almost feel bad for the main character, but you really feel bad for the victim, she has to endure so much. Very good book!
This book had me on edge the whole time, Sterling disgusted me on how twisted and dirty he was. Actually had me creeped out for awhile each time I went to the gym I couldn't stop looking over my shoulder to see if someone was behind me watching me. Brenna was a little boring to me in the beginning but I was really surprised to see what she became and how she pretended to want to be with Sterling to hopefully get free. There was a little to much sexual detail for my taste in the book. A very quick read didn't want to put it down to see what was going to happen next. Overall a good read, looking forward to more books from Jared.
Unrestrained jet fuel. A raw masculinity balanced with a delicate femininity provides a whiplash that hurts so very good. Brutally and unapologetically honest. Should you like to peek into the strangest places of the mind, and play in its darkest corners, this monster gladly obliges.
Give me more Mimi and Jared! I'm on my knees begging.
Caution, prerequisites to this book are a bright night light and a very fuzzy teddy bear. You will need them both dearly.
I downloaded this book on my kindle the first day it was available, finished it over the weekend.
It was definitely a "can't put it down" kind of book. The bipolar/split personality of Sterling,
(aka the perfect man, or so it would seem at first!) was absolutely amazing! Never knew what to
expect! As the authors put it, "some nightmares hide inside a dream come true" -WOW!- I also
loved how the chapters alternated betweeen Sterling and Brenna, never read a book like that before
and I truly loved it! Some have compared it to 50 Shades of Grey - not even close, This book is
so riveting and real it's hard to compare with anything else! Beautiful Monster not only puts you
inside the head of Sterling, but you are also very in touch with his victims, what they are feeling
and what they are going through. Very well written, I would absolutely recommend this book!
